Calopogon tuberosus Clumping Bamboo purplish-pinkCalopogon tuberosus is a small, easy to grow native orchid that ranges from Minnesota south to Florida. Found in open boggy soils and meadows, grass pink emerges in March (south) and July (north) with bunny ear shaped leaves. On a short stalk atop the leaves are up to 24 small pink flowers that open progressively over a series of weeks starting in June (NC). Plant grass pinks near a path where they can be appreciated.
