2020 Domaine Belargus Anjou Quarts, Loire, France Andrew Will Aging: 11 months on theQuarts is a south facing lieu dit of Quarts de Chaume which before the French Revolution was in the hands of the sieureurs de Haute Guerche. They had tithed a quarter of this parcels wines to the Abbey of Ronceray in Angers for generations, a tradition now enshrined in the name of the appellation Quarts de Chaume Grand Cru. This cuve, however, is not a Grand Cru wine since it is made in a dry style which entitles it to carry the more generic Anjou
