The 20% of local red grapes are typically found in the Roig Boig cuvée: about 400L didn’t fit into the one large Roig Boig tank
The vines are trained in the traditional trenzado method where the arms are braided
Australian Ben Caldwell and Mexican Marco Ruiz Cantú met in oenology school and launched Somos (“we are” in Spanish) in 2016 with a focus on alternative varietals and making wines as naturally as possible
Here they use almost entirely Italian varietals to great success
