With theorem style stencil painted velvet top reading "token of friendship", embossed silver foil trim around perimeter and sides, and original mirror inside. I'm not entirely sure what it once would have held that fit into that round niche perhaps a pot of rouge? but could hold various sorts of trinkets or mementos now, or deliver a chocolate
