a few small dings and rough spots here and there

which would I think be especially fantastic filled with Asiatic lilies

There is a longish horizontal hairline crack in the wood on the right side and a shorter one above it

The nails come out easily and certainly others could be used to fill the rest of the holes should one want to take it down from the wall occasionally to play

And the fact that this is a complete double nines set means all the more little paintings to enjoy. Yum. I'm not sure the age on these but they're definitely pretty old. I'm not sure about the wood; it doesn't seem heavy enough to be ebony, and I think it was stained.
