This very sweet little hand-carved puzzle cross is harder than it looks
It appears they've been thrown around a bit
and surely have 100 years on them at least
From a second batch of drawings by the prolific and endlessly inventive Chicago artist James Frederic Bone (1929-2015)
Then the whole thing was mounted to backing board
"Automoble": H. Mischler's Hand-drawn Rubber Band Powered Toy Car Rendering with Specs canary yellow This very sweet little hand-carvedI found this one not from from Schenectady, NY, where the H. Mischler who drew it seems to have had a business "furnishing plans and giving estimates" though I can't imagine his plan here for a rubber band powered "Automoble" [sic] was an especially lucrative job! I really love it as a stand alone drawing and plan though, with this very chipper looking vehicle rendered in profile and from below, and then wonderfully dense grid below carefully charting
