Red Hat on Snowy Street, Antique Painting with Heavy Impasto on Academy Board stork shaped the more time I spendI love the moodiness of this old oil on board painting, which feels like winter desolation but for the scarlet red hat or scarf pulled over the head of the figure otherwise all in black at center right, which for me transforms it into a narrative painting: what is her story?! The thick impasto enhances a sense of drama, as does the road turning a corner in the distance, leading somewhere into the future! 10 3 16" x 8 1 8", oil on board. Unsigned
