Soulful and Expressive Carved and Painted Owl daily diary Nice gold painted dotting allA lot of soul in this one I think, looking a bit as if carrying the weight of the world on its shoulders. With a nice, craggily carved surface, perfectly enhanced by the dark gray paint, with yellow for the eyes and talons. Of a good scale and with a great presence, unfolding across 360 degrees. 7" t x 4" w x approx 4" d; 3 1 2" x 3 7 8" at base. Very good condition, second half 20th century I believe. Stands sturdy and flush.
