Van Everens Visiting Cards, Grand Central Hotel, c. 1880s Business Card with Anamorphic Text political and sturdy pinbackThis is the first example of anamorphic text I've had, though I will definitely be on the hunt for others. By viewing the text from an angle (holding it almost flat on its side), all those abstract lines form words. Here, it reads "Van Everens Visiting Cards" from one direction, and then "Central" from the short side, and then "Grand" and "Hotel" from the corner angles. (I did my best to photograph, but it's a bit easier in hand.) Analog magic, pretty
